Dave Hanson is a principal and member of Acumen Land Group LLC and a key part of the executive team. Mr. Hanson directs the Company efforts of prospecting and acquisition, financing, market valuations, and the RE product sales program.
Mr. Hanson is well placed in the Washington RE market. He has more than 26 years of industry experience combined with a local's insight and sophisticated marketing techniques to affect a sound market placement of Acumen Land Group projects. He is highly skilled in the process of negotiating balanced RE contracts and quickly working out the unexpected issues that often follow. Mr. Hanson fosters effective communications with a sound determination to set a strong pace, which is key to a successful RE development enterprise.
Dave and his wife raised 4 children and now make their home in Kittitas County. Before relocating to Kittitas County, he was a founding partner in a successful residential RE brokerage – an interest he has since sold out of. Mr. Hanson is a licensed Washington RE broker, and an independent investor/developer/owner of residential apartment properties. Dave Hanson is a Washington native, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Finance from Seattle Pacific University and has remained active in church and community.
Director of Development
Alex Palmer is co-founder and Principal Managing Member of Acumen Land Group LLC. He is currently Acumen’s Director of Development, heading up Acumen’s portfolio development and forward planning activities. His responsibilities are conceptual modeling, accurate economic projections, and technical oversight to company acquisitions, financing, and product development. Mr. Palmer is the owner of agricultural and residential property in Kittitas County, WA, where he resides with his wife, today.
Working on the design and construction of small to large scale land projects since 1972, Mr. Palmer has completed development projects in the states of Alaska, California, Michigan, Nevada and Washington; also, in five territories or countries abroad. He is skilled in civil engineering (Texas A&M) and environmental engineering (U. of California at Santa Barbara.) Mr. Palmer is a US Armed Forces Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy Seabees/Civil Engineering Corp.
In 1985, Mr. Palmer built spec homes in the Tahoe/Carson Valley region for three years. He later formed a design company in the greater Los Angeles metro/regional markets. The company provided professional design programs that grew into a group of six companies, offering civil/structural engineering, geotechnical/engineering geology, applied environmental sciences, surveying, land planning and construction management. Over 29 years, the group improved just over 18,400 acres of urban, suburban, and rural property. Often undertaking concept-to-completion contracts in the range of small value to $112 million (total project value.)
Mr. Palmer is an expert developer in residential subdivisions, custom estates with income elements; business parks; retail commercial centers; and heavy industrial parks. Mr. Palmer is a successful entrepreneur and a skilled business executive in the business size range $1MM to $35MM (gross operating budgets.) With his success, Mr. Palmer began in 1998 to build his investor portfolio as a land developer which he continues to concentrate on today through Acumen Land Group LLC.
